Nothing to Wear
We expect to know how to dress by default, but it takes time and a lot of mistakes to get to a place where your Image truly works in your favour. The ‘I have nothing to wear’ dilemma is very real and affects us all daily. How many times have you stood in front of a fully stocked wardrobe yelling out the words, I have nothing to wear! In this lesson, we are going to purge the wardrobe and create a wardrobe plan and list. After this lesson, you will never look at your wardrobe quite the same way.Making a capsule wardrobe
Capsule planning is a way for us to utilise the wardrobe to the fullest. It is a collection of functional clothing items that we use to downsize and can be mixed and matched so that we wear every item in the wardrobe and nothing goes to waste. Lesson 2 is all about the Capsule Wardrobe, outfit Formulas and seasonal capsule. You will know how to create a Capsule and how to create 100's of outfits from just 25 to 30 items.
Mixing and Matching
It’s not until the 1970s that capsuling, mixing, and matching began. In today’s fashion, it is a designer’s secret weapon to highlight their talent. In this lesson, we create outfit formulas and new colour combinations. You are going to learn about style boards and how to mix different patterns and textures in the same outfit.
Body Shape and analysis
Anybody that has ever dressed in front of a mirror will tell you how the body shape affects their everyday dressing. To analyse the body and learn how to do form measurements is very important in the journey of Image Consulting. You will be shown different body shapes and to give you Ideas and identifications for dressing a specific body type
Illusion evolution
We understand the word illusion is a deception of some kind. A misleading perception of reality. The illusion we use in fashion is when we cheat the eye, or we trick the eye - something appearing other than what it truly is. We will be looking at slimming the body with fashion and creating illusions and focal points to change how the shape of the body is perceived.
Body Positivity
Practising self-acceptance will help you to acknowledge good and bad qualities about yourself. Body positivity is not only tied to your weight and size but is also linked to your identity. How do you view your overall appearance? Do you love yourself? Most people do not have a positive body image. This lesson is focused on body positive outfits that boost self-esteem.
Style Identification
Identifying with a style will have significant importance in your makeover process. As Image consultants, it is one of the first things we help our clients with. This lesson will give you a comprehensive list of style types that will help you to plan the wardrobe better and to shop more successfully.
The art of accessorising
Most designs are standard and leave little to the imagination. It is only when accessories are added that the design truly comes to life. Instant style is achieved by understanding how the small stuff becomes the big stuff and how the humble accessory can change an entire outfit. Rounding off module 1 we are accessorising outfit ideas. We will be looking at shoes, bags and accessory Trends. How do we bring a look together? With a fabulous accessory of course!

Introduction to Image consulting
Historically, finishing schools and modelling schools were where image consulting originated from. Image consulting has now evolved into one of the fastest-growing professions and is linked to so many other skills and talents. In this lesson, we will focus on the introduction to the Image consulting world, business management and creating your brand.
Becoming an Image consultant
We all strive to become something, and we are constantly working to better ourselves and to achieve our dreams. Becoming an image consultant is not just a job title but is a wonderful journey of self-discovery and self-growth as well as transferring all that you have learned and have explored to your clients. In this lesson, you will be developing your own personal style as well as focussing on communication skills
Fashion studies
As image consultants, you will not necessarily need fashion design capability but there will be a close link to understanding certain practices. The aim of this lesson is to learn fashion terms and to have a vocabulary around fashion so that you can highlight your skills as an image consultant and translate these terms to your clients.
The office
When most people think of work clothes they think of dull and boring clothing but workwear has taken a turn for the better and corporate style and fashion are now revolutionised. The office is a wonderful place to express your personal style. We will be focussing on corporate consulting in this lesson, as it is now more important than ever to have a successful image and a strong corporate identity and brand.Happy client, happy life

Men’s styling has progressed, and more men are now using personal stylists to assist them with correct shopping and adapting their style and power dressing techniques. Re-Imagine Yourself
Creativity is something that you will develop and training your creative eye and mind will have to be practised regularly. In lesson 1, we start with creating personal style boards, we discuss adjectives to find your style and we learn how to re-Imagine what you wear. This is a skill that can be increased with a combination of logical thinking and application of colour and style rules
Colour coding
A colour specialist will feature colour and colour analysis as their core service. A colour specialist will give expert advice in various areas of design and fashion and will also use colour psychology as a tool. In this lesson, we discuss the colour wheel, and how colours affect styles and the looks of clothing.
Becoming a colour expert
When we are advancing in our colour analysis techniques and go deeper into colour theory, we will start to understand how we can alter our thought processes and influence people’s perceptions of colour. In this lesson, we start with colour swatches and demonstrate our colour coding skills. We apply this practically in our styling by considering things like the client's complexion, skin tone, and undertone
Psychology of colour
We use psychology to help with our decision making and to help us with stress management. This gives us the ability to predict certain outcomes using colour psychology theories, and complete our colour theory techniques.
Wake-up and make-up
Because we are in the business of building confidence, beauty, health, and lifestyle are our top priorities as Image consultants, assisting our clients to reach the peak of their entire makeover. In this lesson, we discuss make-up artistry and the basic knowledge of make-up. This will then assist you with the know-how to give a make-up consultation and which products to suggest for your client and their makeover process.
Love is in the hair
They say that your hair is the crowning glory and a true expression of your personality and personal style. Many times, when you feel off or flat, you will resort to a good haircut or hair colour and feel like a million bucks again. For those reasons it will be good for us to explore the best possible haircut and hair colour to bring out our natural features in this lesson. Never underestimate the power of healthy-looking hair!
Colour draping
Colour draping is an advanced technique that will form part of your colour analysis. You can apply the principles of colour draping and combine them with your own techniques and knowledge. In this lesson, we will look at the colour system and draping in more depth.
Practical magic
Practical applications will lead to a deeper understanding of your knowledge. The knowledge that you have now gathered will equip you to put it to the test with a real-life situation. The focus of this lesson will be to test all your colour theory and knowledge that you have gained in this module.

Let's go shopping
As a personal shopper, you will need to be updated on the latest trends, fashions and recommend the correct products and items according to your client’s lifestyle needs. In lesson 1 you will learn all the advance skills to become a personal shopper. You will also learn about all the shopping tricks, how to shop and when to shop.
The shopping budget
You will get hired for your expertise and knowledge, keeping clothing purchases to a manageable level will be part of your shopping service and your image consulting business. You will expand your knowledge and do thorough research to help your client’s save money. In this lesson, you will put your plans into action by creating a thorough budget plan
Shopping sessions
Personal shoppers and stylists are hired for their ability to know what their client needs before the client knows why they need it. In this lesson, we are going to further our communication around clothing and fashion.
Shopping for Men
As your business grows, so will your clientele. Men will start to follow the trend of hiring a personal stylist, especially if your consulting focus is on corporate clients. In this lesson, we will focus on going shopping with men and how you will approach a shopping session for a male client.
The revision booking
Now it is time to bring it all together. The ‘bringing it together’ process will include you creating a fresh style guide for your client, using old and new garments. In this lesson, we identify revision booking techniques and get a better understanding of how a revision booking will work.

Offering an elite service means that you are focusing on a wider demographic for your service-based business and because your business is built around you and your skills, you can offer so much more than only image consulting. In this lesson, we discuss becoming an elite shopper and elite stylist to show that you are an expert at what you do. You want to create a VIP experience, which your clients will never forget
Style inspiration
Ageing gracefully is something we all desire, and so does our clients. We cannot control the ageing process, but one thing that we can control is dressing well. In this lesson, we find style inspirations for the 30, 40 and 50-year-olds, and research new trend ideas.
The story
When drafting a story, you will focus on a great ending for your story, and so it is the same working with a client as an Image consultant. With an exceptional story, you will try different endings to see which fits the story the best. Your client’s fashion story should be the same. Let us ensure our story is a great one!
